NOTE VERBALE

The Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany presents its compliments to the Crown Office of Fiduciary Affairs of the Kingdom of Weymarck and has the honour to communicate that the Federal Government recognises the Kingdom of Weymarck as a sovereign state.

This recognition confirms the practical arrangements already observed along the Bavarian approaches to the Scharnitz corridor and affirms the Kingdom’s jurisdiction over the highland territory east of that pass.

The Federal Republic notes the Kingdom’s permanent neutrality and its non-accession to multilateral defence and political organisations, and regards those policies as consistent with regional stability.

The Foreign Office avails itself of this opportunity to renew the assurances of its highest consideration.
